A Grand Reunion

Little House on the Prairie returns to Columbia, California, after 45 years for a special cast reunion to honor the legacy of the beloved television series and celebrate the devoted fans who keep its story alive.

Meet and Greets

Meet your favorite Little House cast members at meet-and-greets inside historic Gold Rush-era buildings throughout town. Collect autographs and snap selfies to capture the magic and celebrate the memories for years to come! (Additional fees may apply and vary by cast member.)

Little House Homecoming

Watch a special screening of Little House Homecoming, a brand-new documentary celebrating Little House fans and exploring the show's lasting legacy.

Wine and Cheese Train

Climb aboard a special Wine and Cheese Train with cast members for a ride on the Sierra Railway, pulled by steam engine No. 3—featured on Little House on the Prairie!

Tour Filming Locations

Step into Little House history by visiting the actual filming locations in Columbia featured in the episodes Someone Please Love Me, Sweet Sixteen, and The In-Laws.

Meet and Greets end promptly at 5:00pm on Friday and Saturday, and at 4:30pm on Sunday to allow cast members time to rest. About an hour before closing, the line will be cut off based on estimated capacity for the final hour. Guests beyond the cutoff point may not reach the cast. Please plan accordingly.

Prairie Costume Contest

Contest Begins at 1:00pm Daily, June 6–8

Dust off your bonnets, cinch up those suspenders, and step into the past! Join us each day of the reunion weekend for our Prairie Costume Contest—a lively celebration of frontier fashion and pioneer spirit!

Whether you're channeling your inner Laura, sporting your best Nellie curls, or crafting a look straight from the prairie plains, we want to see you shine.

This event is open to the public—no ticket is required, and there is no entry fee to participate.

Contest Divisions:
  • Children (12 and under)
  • Youth (13–17)
  • Adults (18+)

Each division has two costume categories:

  • Best Little House Character
    Portray your favorite Little House character—whether it’s Laura, Pa, Nellie, Almanzo, you name it!
  • Best General Prairie Character
    Bring your best original pioneer, homesteader, or old-timey outfit—does not have to be tied to a specific character.

Prizes:

  • Winners in each division will receive an official Little House on the Prairie Cast Reunion event poster!
  • One Grand Prize Winner, chosen from among the daily division champs, will receive a special Little House tote bag and ball cap—perfect for prairie adventures!

How to Enter:

Register between 10:00am and 12:30pm at the Information & Merchandise Booth located in the heart of town at Johnson’s Livery.

So whether you're donning bonnets or suspenders, lace up those boots and show off your best Little House look!

Costume Contest

Prairie Games

Games Begins at 2:00pm Daily, June 6–8

Ready... set... hoop! Step back in time and bring your frontier spirit to life with our Prairie Games—a playful celebration of old-fashioned fun that’ll have everyone grinning from ear to ear!

From rolling hoops to sack races, this is your chance to run, race, and relive the games that once brought joy to prairie towns across the country. Whether you’re a little one with lots of energy or just young at heart, everyone’s welcome to join in the fun.

This event is open to the public—no ticket is required, and there is no entry fee to participate.

Railtown 1897

We’re proud to partner with Railtown 1897 State Historic Park for the Little House Cast Reunion, celebrating the show’s special connection to this historic site, where numerous episodes were filmed.

During the event, Railtown will be:
  • Running train excursions pulled by steam locomotive #3 (featured in Little House on the Prairie)
  • Displaying filming location exhibits and historic rolling stock used in the show, including the iconic Runaway Caboose #7.
  • Offering self-guided walking tours of the Historic Jamestown Shops and Roundhouse complex.

By Air

For those traveling by plane, there are multiple airport options:

  • Sacramento International Airport (SMF)
    Located approximately 2.5 hours (125 miles) from Columbia, SMF offers a wide range of domestic and international flights. Rental cars are available on-site. This is our recommended airport for travelers.

    About 2.5 hours (120 miles) away, OAK is another major airport with convenient access to the Bay Area and beyond. Rental cars are available on-site.

  • Columbia Airport (O22)
    A small public-use airport located just minutes from Columbia State Historic Park, it is a great option for general aviation pilots flying in on private or small aircraft. Car rentals are available through Enterprise in nearby Sonora.

Columbia State Historic Park is easily accessible by car and offers scenic drives through the Sierra foothills.

  • From Sacramento
    Take CA-99 South to CA-120 East, then follow CA-49 North to Columbia.

  • From the San Francisco Bay Area
    Take I-580 East to I-205 East, then merge onto I-5 North. Continue on CA-120 East, then follow CA-49 North to Columbia.

  • From Reno/Tahoe
    Take US-395 South to CA-88 West, then follow CA-49 South to Columbia.
